tl;dr:
-Back of the box description was leaked. Look at the link if you want to read it cuz it's too long to paste here >_>

-2 fighting styles. Yakuza style which will probably be Kiryu's Dragon style, and Agent style which lets him utilize gadgets such as electrical webslingers and other stuff

-3 locations. Sotenbori from 0 and 2, Yokohama from 7, and "The Mysterious Castle". Doesnt look like Kamurocho is here.

-A bunch of activities confirmed are Pocket Circuit Racing, Karaoke, live-action Cabaret Club, and a fighting Arena

-Release date is November 9th. No word on the price yet

I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but Pocket Circuit has never been good. Shout out to Cyric's guides for telling the exact combination of mods that win each race, otherwise I would have skipped that garbo altogether

I dont blame you. I love Pocket Circuit's story, characters, and lore. But I dont like the mid to late gameplay of it

That's Like a Dragon 8, which is coming out next year. Gaiden is supposed to take place between 6 and 7

It's a side story that takes place after Yakuza 6. From what I hear it will lead up to and go beyond Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

There's an RGG Summit next week. We'll have more info then.

That one is mainline and Y8 will have the RPG elements to it and continue with Ichiban as protagonist. Gaiden is now the spin-off lol.

Yeah somehow I didn't understand that was a mainline game, cuz it had a completely different battle system. I guess it's a bizarre way to continue with Kiryu's story without creating another mainline entry

Either it's a secret location or it just actually isnt there. Yokohama is pretty big though. Might be bigger than Kamurocho?

Looks awesome. I'll probably play Ishin eventually. Especially if there is a sale, but more excited for this actually. Would get day 1 likely.

Customizing the cars felt pointless because you needed a guide to make the exact car to win certain races anyway

ngl Ishin is probably one of the weaker titles imo

There is a pattern to it. If you didn't use a guide, you used trial and error and just lost until you won.

If you ended up coming short, you gave yourself more speed. If you flew off the track, you toned it down.

I completely understand people not having the patience for that, though.

Heh. I think it's okay.

Still wondering what those who played the JP version were going on about with it being the best game in the series.

I think my main dig against Ishin was Kyo is just... not nearly as interesting as Kamurocho.

I just didnt like the grinding and how literally half the substories are just friendship bullshit. I had fun, but it felt a little lacking compared to other games

Yeah that too. The grind was not quite as bad as in the remake, but there was still a grind, and the substories barely changed at all.
