Once again, apologies to L-2 from Layton/Ace Attorney, but don't worry, L-3 won't be left off the poll tomorrow. 4-3 probably lands on the cutting room floor on that one unless someone wants to argue it should be 2-3 instead.

Personal rankings: 3-2 > 5-2 > 2-2 > G2-2 > 6-2 > 1-2 > L-2 > E2-2 > E1-2 > G1-2 > 4-2

I think 6-2 edges out 3-2 and G2-2 for me, Im pretty down on Spirit of Justice but for me it was probably the best case in that game

I like 2-3 too but are they anyone's favorite third case? L-3 is a legit great case. It deserves representation.

5-2 > 3-2 > G2-2 > 6-2 and all 4 of those cases are very, very good.

2-2 is probably next, though I think it's pretty overrated, and then I think 4-2 is kinda underrated.

But then the rest are all pretty bad.

Curious about the 5-2 love because I actually think it might be the weakest of these cases? Its either that or E1-2 (which I admittedly have not touched since it came out so uh working off memory here)

4-2 is one of the few actively terrible cases in the series so no.

Voted 3-2 but it's close between that and 1-2.

hot take 2-3 and 4-3 are both better than 3-3 and 5-3... i still wouldn't come close to voting for any of them but still

3-2 most overrated case
6-2 easy vote

3-2, G2-2, and 1-2 are all very good.

It subverted my expectations like crazy. Starts out and it immediately shows you the killer, so I was put into a false sense of security on how simple the case would be. Nothing prepares you for just how crazy the second day gets when it comes to how the actual murder happened.

Then you've got:

• One of the best defendants in the series
• Lovable oafs in the supporting cast
• Apollo vs Blackquill at its absolute best
• Wrestling subplot
• I think the only moment in the series where the main character has an asspull where everyone's like "my god, he figured out the killer's crazy strategy again!"..... and then it turns out to be completely wrong?

It's sort of occurring to me looking at the list of cases that there aren't any that I consider to be a real standout, not even compared to the list of first cases (I like 3-1 and E2-1 more than every case on this list). A bunch of good cases but nothing that I feel really, really strongly about.

6-2 > 3-2 > 5-2 > 2-2 > G2-2 > G1-2 > E2-2 > 1-2 > E1-2 > 4-2

I guess? This list felt really random to create.

I feel like 6-2 is a case that's become more popular over time because I feel like it wasn't thought of as particularly good when the game first came out, at least around here.

6-2 is my favorite from this set I think

I also dislike 5-2. A bit too drawn out and obvious. The character designs feel jarringly out of place, though to a lesser degree than the Edgeworth games.

3-2 is obvious winner, though I definitely vibe with 6-2 as well.

I think the better question is who the fuck's voting for Turnabout Airlines

Capcom Cammy's are having a bit of a moment

3-2 > 5-2 > G2-2 >>> E2-2 >> 6-2 > 2-2 > 4-2 > 1-2 >> G1-2 > E1-2

5-2 is great. Apollo has a great dynamic with both Athena and Blackquill. They really sold Apollo finally getting the best of Blackquill at the end as a triumphant moment for me.

3-2. I'm not even a huge fan of that one really; the others just sound really bleh.

1-2 is the worst case in the series. It was so bad I had to be assured it got better or I would've dropped the game.

2-2 is... Fine? Forgettable case, moving on.

3-2 tries to be a "fun" case like 2-3.. Except unlike 2-3 it does it's job well. I've always liked this case and the behind the scenes chess set up by Ron and Luke. I'm fully aware I overrate this case, and I don't care. It's the one after it that's one of the worst in the series.

4-2 is... Fine? I like what they did with Tiala. It all made sense in hindsight.

5-2 is kind of a mess. Jinxie is awful and gets tiresome very quickly, and I legitimately have no idea why the case didn't end in the first day. What buys you day 2 is nonsense.

6-2 is a case that was better for me with age. The murder itself actually was almost perfect. Also, Trucy's super charismatic in this case and she was a character I had been judging unfairly since AJ.

G1-2 is almost totally forgettable. I remember playing it through the first time just.. In bed waiting for a natural stopping point, to which the case has none, and then it was just over and I was like "...ok".

G2-2 should've had more time with the two culprits on the stand together to really let it marinate. It takes a while to develop, but finishes a little too fast once it does. Not a bad case, not a great one.

Oh Edgeworth games

E1-2 exists.
E2-2 overstays it's welcome some. The bigger issue is I generally dislike almost every interaction with Courtney and Sebastian in this case, and in the next case, and this one sure has a lot of them. Edgeworth going full on defense attorney mode was neat though.

Instinct is 3-2 because I like the end of day 1 twist a lot and it has some memorable characters. Just gonna go with it.

I like 2-2 and 6-2 as well. 1-2 is kind of a weird one in hindsight.

I'll be curious to see how the third case poll plays out because it has a few heavy hitters

G2-2 is the second best case in G2 (after G2-3).

Yeah I can see why people like 5-2 a little bit, its got a really goofy ending and if you are willing to buy into its plot it can be rewarding (I wasnt as invested though). felt like the way it took to get there dragged a little bit too

May be enough to beat E1-2 though (and maybe 1-2? Its important but its honestly kinda bland. I also think I mildly enjoy 4-2 a little bit. Haters can munch munch munch)
