like as it is i don't feel tall enough, fat enough, or important enough to be an "adult" in the sense of how i viewed people my age should be

when i was conscious enough to form memories and do things that actually mattered, my folks were barely older than i am now.

which is fuckin sad i've got 2 cats and a lot of videogames and i'm short

I just turned 30 and I feel the same as I did in my early 20s. I still look young too

Only mentally. I feel like I haven't changed much since high school.

Yes, but I think in my case it's that from the ages of roughly 23-29, I went through some intense depression/trauma where I both 1) don't remember huge stretches of time and 2) probably should have been under some type of medical/psychiatric supervision. Like, I genuinely don't feel like I've grown much past the age of 23. I'm not a child by any means, but I don't feel my age, if that makes sense.

You won't ever feel like an "adult," that's a spook.

This may sound harsh, but many, if not most, but not all of the people I've met in that age group, seem to be about ten years behind in their development.
I am not saying they aren't good people, the maturity level isn't where it ought to be.

Millennials were dealt a crappy deck of cards.
But they also have the means of getting around that.
They just were not given the guidance.
But most importantly, virtually no one to look up to.

i feel like long term relationships and marriage are an underrated part of the maturation process which i kinda bypassed.

to play the devil's advocate, they were dealt 15 years of zero interest rates and all that came with that macroeconomically. they were also shackled with a boatload of student debt though, to concur with you in that regard.

Nearly 37 and yeah Im starting to feel my age but Im also feeling fitter than ever just by being active. Dont feel like an adult per se as we likely thought of them while growing up.

I mean, I have a career, girlfriend is pretty great, I sit around on my time off doing what Ive always done. I suppose if I had a house to take care of that would be much different obviously.

Same. There is some growing up you do when you get mature but in some aspects I never gave up what I enjoy through out my childhood. That was gaming. Running a business then a farm at end of the day you just want to relax. Gaming was it. I'm Fifty but still look and act mid 20's. Some people gasp when they ask my age. Lol

I always feel like people my age that I'm around are much older than me.
