Eh, a lot of countries have nationalist icons.

That said, yeah, the USA has made an art form of the concept certainly.

I'm sure the US will care a lot less about the founding fathers once it's as old as most other countries.

I mean, America is still pretty new and tbf, there is probably a lot more surviving documentation on our founding fathers than most.

China and Mao. Soviet Union had Lenin.

We probably are among some of the most obsessed with our founders, though.

Yes. Generally hyper-nationalist countries have some level of this. For instance, North Korea and China come across as obsessed with the previous posterity. Similarly some of the various totalitarian regimes have had similar aspects, though none come to mind as existing right now. It was also the basis for the monarchy, though that was more about the "founding family" rather than a specific group of people that did the founding.

Yeah I'd say so because people use the "our founding fathers would do xyz" argument in the current year

The difference is, the Founders wrote still-relevant legal documents so interpreting the intent places an ongoing role in the legal process.

The Soviet Union was Stalin.
For a time. Destalinization took place, though. Of course there were hardcore Stalinists still lurking around and he's popular in some parts of Russia today.

Lenin's body is still on display to this day, so that's why I included him. He did have a mythic status in the Soviet Union. Stalin did name his Theory Marxism-Leninism too.

Romans maybe with the mythological founder of the city of Rome, Romulus (and his brother Remus)

I am not sure on his brother but I think Romulus was worshipped as either a kind of god , or a sacred ancestor
