Similarly some of the various totalitarian regimes have had similar aspects, though none come to mind as existing right now. It was also the basis for the monarchy, though that was more about the "founding family" rather than a specific group of people that did the founding. Bass posted... China and Mao. Soviet Union had Lenin. We probably are among some of the most obsessed with our founders, though.
