That's 580 calories isn't it? By shake standards that's not actually that crazy.

75g of sugar is way too much tho. IIRC the daily suggested sugar intake is like, half that.

Even thats way too much. Every 4-5g or sugar is a sugar cube, so thats one easy metric to see how much sugar is in something.

America is also fat because they dont look at the labels. Stuff has sugar that shouldnt have sugar and people eat that all day. Most people are shocked when they find out that a granola bar is basically a piece of candy

Yeah, kcal = Calories. 580 isnt a lot but the fact you're intaking that much from just a drink is too much >_>

YEP! Like that other poster said, you should only intake 36g a day. So enjoy drinking 210% in a drink lol

It's for the 'Small' size. A 'Large' would be over 1100 Calories judging by the other milkshake options.

Also consider it's meant to be sold as part of a meal with a Big Mac or McNuggets and Fries, not alone.

100%. I used to do a 32oz 4-5 days a week in high school because they were literally 49 cents.

Cut back in college for sure and basically only had it when I had an energy drink or mixed drink.

Now I pretty much only have it with a mixed drink that contains like, a splash of Sprite or something. It's rare I even get one of those anyways because they're hangover juice.

So yeah. Stay away from soda. That shit is nuts

Is that actually what the app shows? It's not actually available in Canada.

Given it has whipped cream on top that Calorie count doesn't even make sense when compared to the other milkshakes, unless what's considered a 'Medium' for that shake is smaller than the standard-sized shakes. There's no way that thing could be nearly 200 Calories less than a medium-sized vanilla one.

E: Okay I think the sizes on the shakes in Canada may actually be larger than the US? wtf

Yeah looking at the Canadian shake options, the 'Medium' size in Canada matches up to a 'Large' in the US and the 'Small' size in Canada matches up to the 'Medium' in the US.

Like not 1:1 but close enough that yeah, it's obvious what's going on. That's why the 'Large' shakes in Canada are all 1100+ Calories but in the US they're like 800 at most >_>

I'll definately say this, I had a friend who weighed 280lbs and the moment he stopped drinking soft drinks, beer, or any other surgary drinks of any sort he literally lost close to 40lbs in a year and never did any actual exercise of sort. Just flat out taking out unhealthy drinks and replacing it mostly with water can help you lose weight without you knowing you are losing weight.

Its so true. I actually have met people who dont drink water (they just drink coffee, beer, soda, etc.). People get so defensive about beer having sugar in it, but companies whitewash the sugar content of anything that has yeast, which is why Europeans go diabetic when they eat a slice of American bread.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

I think that when a product exceeds a certain amount of sugar, fat, or calories they should be forced to put that prominently on the front of the package. I also think that every product should be forced to list the nutritional facts for the entire package if its something like a canned drink that says 1.8 servings. Everyone drinks the entire can, so tell us both (I know that some products do this).

I'm certainly not condoning this, but I'm also not surprised. A 12-oz coke has 39g of sugar, so this shake would be the equivalent of about two cokes... which people drink all the time.

All of our stuff is loaded with sugar.

People in America are fat because they lack self-control.

Seems that way.
Our sweets on average here in Japan have pretty high sugar (Hence why so many of us have questionable teeth), but we generally don't eat much..

Which has its drawbacks. Not sufficient energy, always tired, being so deficient in mass that even climbing one or two sets of stairs makes one winded for most Japanese, etc. But that's an overall diet thing and not strictly sugar.

Thank god the younger generation's been being more and more influenced by foreign societies and online influence. As much as some older generations don't like it, current and new generations love how much more energetic and happy modern high schoolers and below are compared to the previous generations.

Still a big problem in Tokyo and Osaka though. The big cities are too far gone at this point, I think.
