Didnt know moderators on forums (like Reddit) are volunteer-based. I thought, like Slickdeals, theyre paid.

Are there like required working hours and stuff? Or is it purely just whenever you feel like it? If the former, why would you ever sign up to do that?

Sorry, let me clarify-
I get it for smaller sites, and more community-driven site, but for subreddits with like millions of subscribers, where you could have literal hundreds of posts a minute? Why would you ever want to volunteer for that?

I legit didnt know mods for those large subreddits were volunteer-based.
