I'm not sure how I feel about the latest 2 episodes. They seem "right" for the where the show started going with the charatcers and the tone. But I didn't feel satisfied, it's kinda weird. I think mainly Mr Cusineau's end seemed like an unnecessarily unfair resolution to his character.
He didn't deserve the outcome of getting the blame for his gf's murder and then him cementing himself further down that line by impulsively killing Barry instead of waiting to see if Barry was willing to assume the blame, then finally have a movie misrepresent all that, paint him as the villain and Barry as the hero. That's some shit.

I was disappointed

I binged the whole show a couple of weeks ago and I didn't really enjoy the turn the last few episodes took. When the time jump happened it felt so bonkers that I thought maybe it was happening in Barry's head but then that didn't end up happening

So idk. I like the show but the last few episodes didn't work for me

But I also haven't followed much of the online talk about it so if there's a perspective I'm missing that might change my thoughts on it, I'm open to hearing it

I imagine that Cusineau heard everything Barry said and still shot him. I don't necessarily think that's what they were going for but I think it puts a nicer button on Gene's end than self-defense.

If that was the case that's even worse lol. That's basically my issue with that. I don't feel the edginess, if that's what they were going for, with making a character randomly sabotage himself like that.

That's pretty much how I feel.

And yeah when the time jump first happened I honestly thought it was a "what if" kinda thing they threw before going back to the main timeline lol. Felt pretty dumb when that didn't happen. But it just seemed absolutely unrealistic. I had a hard time imagining Sally going away to spend life in isolation with a murderer.
