I enjoyed them when they were new but I can't go back nowadays.
After playing Payday 2, L4D characters feel so weak and slow by comparison.
And also in Payday 2, the special enemies have really endearing dialogue while in L4D it's just noises.

i enjoyed both L4D and L4D2. I only played Payday 1, and it was eh. Is Payday 2 really any better?

I had fun playing them with friends back in the day. I haven't touched them in 10 years or more, though.

I wanna play them again.

Probably. Between 2019 and 2020 Payday 2 was S tier. It was the dumbest game ever, the gameplay was great and the music was awesome.

Then they ruined it.
If you looks up Update 237 you can the game actually just got done re-disembowelling itself a week or two ago. There was a leak for in-game currency in Payday 3 too.

A rare combination of a zombie game and multiplayer focused game I enjoyed.

Not gonna say it was amazing but it beat the odds when it came to me liking it.

I remember doing battle with one of those big fuckers forget the name. But all I had was a frying pan and all my team mates had already reached the safe point. I somehow survived. Can't remember if I killed it but I know I smacked it a bit with that pan.

My best friend hated me cause I was the witch hunter. If I knew one was around I went straight for it. More than once I shot it and it ran right past me and pounced on him. Rarely did I fail to kill one even if I ended up having to revive a team mate due to my actions.

Vermintide 2 and Darktide are also good

Hey thing kept getting in my path. Friend chose not to help but didn't leave without me either.

Me, my friend and my brother played the absolute bullshit out of both left 4 dead games on the xbox 360. Hands down my second favorite competitive MP experience (we were all about the campaign pvp), and juicy smoker, charger, boomer and spitter traps were a work of art. When two teams of players are basically equally skilled maaan the games get sweaty and I loved every second of it.

Gears of war 3 ever so slightly edged it out when it comes to the main game I was always playing online, but I look back on the left 4 dead games on 360 fondly.

My favorite thing to do in L4D2 (And it might as well be the optimal way to play) was to find someone else and play split screen.

There's two of you so for starters you're immune to the random vote kick attempts from feral teammates.
Secondly you can switch controllers when you get each other's favorite special infected.
You also have someone to joke around with when you're playing the boring survivor parts.
