Dude my flavor referenced the fact that I rolled Cop last game and died super early for it, calling this game like a mulligan of sorts. Suffice to say, I was excited for redemption.

Random guy Ulti suspects is picked for gladiate there is a much higher chance it is scum fakeclaiming than the actual doctor. At least 4x as likely by the numbers.

Doc is one player, scum is either 3 or 4. Lopen is saying 4 to be either be scarier than reality, or because he knows it is actually four. Thus the ratio is 3x or 4x from your pov if you assume that Ulti is not scum and you know that you are not scum (if you are not scum).

It's just lopen talking for his scum mate.

We have 13 players
Remove Ulti from the pool and assume he's town
I'm town, remove me from the pool

The odds of Death being scum are 3/11 or 4/11, both of which are less than 50%. Thus, it's likelier that Death is town. It's just unfortunate that he's also Doctor.

If we're talking pure statistics, at least. The simplest logic to me is that Death hasn't done anything scummy to make me believe his Doctor role is fake. And why take that chance if No Lynching is an option? Even if it's not an option, I'm leaving the onus on you guys to figure out which role hurts less to lose. Thanks, Ulti.

Oh well there's the confirmation that one of us has to die. How lame.

It's not a fallacy because you can't use the odds of town vs odds of scum

It is literally odds of doctor vs odds of scum

Ulti has 7 or 8/11 of hitting town
That town has a small chance of being the doctor.
You have to multiply the probabilities with town. Scum just lies so if scum aligned you don't reduce the chances.

I guess I sorta knew that was gunna be the answer anyway.

I want to argue the logic that if both town then lynch the doc cause the cop will always be 100% successful where the doc is a shot in the dark. however that's dumb cause without the doc the cop is assuredly dead. or magical town roleblock blocks the kill but scum blocker blocks cop anyway. so still nothing

huh, by typing that out I guess it still makes the most sense to go that route cause it forces scum to put all their energy into the cop claim allowing other possible powers to fiddle about.

I think it was fine, if a bit premature and potentially better used d2 or d3. But i can understand why you did it.

Personally i still think we have a better shot of hitting scum by lynching Kirby, but i imagine whichever one doesn't get lynched will wind up dead when we start d2. So it's potato potato, if you think both are town.

Death, i've found doesn't actually fall into the categories that have been set out for him over the past dozen games or so. Wishywashy Death does not equal Scum Death. It may have happened in a game of the past or two which lead us to that place as a community but we can't keep chalking him off as scum for it since its only happened maybe twice.

I am more inclined to vote kirby here purely on the feelings that i do not think this death is scum. but i dont think we are interested in hammering are we?

Corrik probably is, but I'd like to have abacus put some words down for the record before we get to that point.

We should definitely hammer well before 48 for game morale but if people have stuff to talk about get it out of your system

You'd be surprised how much you'd learn from this.

I think we should base ending the day on when day 2 will start (after all conversation has been exhausted) if we hammer tonight that means day 2 start Thursday and ends Saturday. opposed to a Friday to Sunday.

we end the day when we are confident we have made the best lynch choice.

Well you actually said earlier that you've known death longer when you placed your vote. But has Kirby done anything specifically to give you bad feels if its possible to like death more as town?

I said that earlier based on their claims you asked me to tell you which one I like more taking claims out of the equation, but no it isn't that Kirby has done much to make him feel scummier but Death has made definite attempts at solving the game so it makes him feel more like town than Kirby has, who really hasn't done much of anything even after being forced to be one of the lynch options.

Scum fakeclaiming doctor is way more likely than doctor. That's not useless that's just facts.

Its useless statistics because the least possible thing can always happen regardless of what the numbers say.
