But in all fairness everywhere has their own version of it.

Of course, I've heard the stereotype.

It depends on which New Yorkers.
As such I assume you are talking about Long Island and New Jersey.

They can be a bit load mothed, but they are not inherently bad.

All in all, it depends on who you are talking to.

Upstate, actual upstate, is a whole other thing.

What do you mean, about upstate?

Anything north of Kingston.
Not simply just north of NYC.
People say Westchester Co. is upstate but it's not.
It is just simply just north of NYC.

That's where upstate really starts.
New York has many different regions.
I'm just South of The Adirondacks, which is the largest State Park in the lower 48's.

Above that is The North Country, which is like Canada South.
...And then there is The Finger Lakes, and Western NY...as well as The Southern Tier.

I see it and live with it everyday. It sucks. These people give no fucks about decency and respect.

The Finger Lake are beautiful and have some nice wines.
The Adirondacks are breathtaking and geologically very unique. Literally a lifetimes worth of things to do
My town is a dedicated Party town.
The area by The Saratoga Battlefield is lovely...and also Sychlerville has to the only volcano in NYS.
I can't speak too much about western NY...but it does have Niagra Falls.

New York State has just about anything you could wish for.

I'm literally about 3 hours due North of NYC, West of Boston and South of Montral.

I've actually been to Boston more.
NYC is a lot. But the train ride down is so nice.
I do remember going there as a kid with my Grandmother and seeing The Empire State Building for the first time.
But for various reasons, I haven't been down since covid.
Gotta get down for a Yankees game at some point.
But ya, there is so much to do in NYC that if you don't have one thing planned, you not won't do anything.
Have one thing you want to do...then, go out exploring.
Summer though is not a great time to be in NYC.

Eh, some of it is rude. Most of it is people just being in a rush and/or not wanting to beat around the bush.

It's funny, my friend and I took some trips to North Carolina back in late high school (2005 - 6 or so) and the amount of people in the south just taking their time was almost foreign to us. Stuck behind people at the cashier just talking away while we're waiting and we're like "this is a whole different kind of people down here". Just want to pay for my stuff and leave asap.

When I was working at Walgreens, I had a conversation with this woman from Pennsylvania who was talking to me about how she came down to Texas (where I currently live) and noticed how people from the South just take so long to do shit. Had me dying lmao.

Because it can feel like it's a million degrees.
It is a concrete jungle, plus the garbage can stink.
The eye candy will be fantastic though. But I've got The Track for that.

If my friends were planning a day trip this weekend I would go in a heartbeat, don't get me wrong.
But late summer or early fall is probably ideal.

I did go down to see the Light Tribute from Dumbo on 9/11, as well as the East Coast launch for Apothic Red.
~Actually a CEman helped me with the best directions to for the Hotel I stayed at for The Wine release. That was during Fashion Week.

yea it can get hot in nyc in the summer but be grateful it isn't texas in the summer or how texas temps are right now.

Ya, it can be nuts down there...from what I heard. Not my thing.
But I will say though, we get it all. It can go from artic to subtropic in a matter of weeks.
It can easly be Winter for about eight months.
That shit fucks with you, and our temps can often rival that of Alaska, at least where I'm at.

NYC really is an amazing experiment for sure.
