The people of Storm must have the same affliction Lois Lane and the rest of Daily Planet does. "Hmmmm, you look a lot like the guy that saved my chickens five years ago. But that can't be, he had a Bearer's mark and you have a scar in the shape of a Bearer's mark." Either way, thank god I finally got a mount.

And I'm wondering if mom is just being petty or if there's something more going on. To quote QI a little, killing Bearers is like keying your own car. Even if you think they're subhuman, they're still *your* subhumans.

Well that was a weird and slightly dumb sidequest (Mikkelberg). Sure I get the idea that if people are to have the freedom to choose, then choosing to cast off one's will and become Akashic might be considered one aspect of that, but it would lose something if those Akashic were to be like every other Akashic and attack me. The story is only ambiguous by virtue of the fact that those particular Akashic just walked off without fighting, but if they DID attack, then the whole tone changes to "does a person have the right to surrender their bodies to a being that would see all other humanity destroyed?"

Don't like it is what I'm saying.

I just learned you can drift your chocobo from randomly looking at the tutorial messages. All these hours wasted!!!

I do appreciate that the end was just the final boss fights and not another damn dungeon.

Ultima could have spoken about 60% less and would have maintained his effect better.

Jill is vastly underutilized as a story character for being Clive's love.

So why are there two Eikons of Fire again?

Still, good job everyone. We solved slavery. There's a parallel to be made between humanity towards Ultima and Bearers towards their masters but honestly I think even if it was implied it's kind of muddy in execution.

And boy am I glad that I did that sidequest that explained why slavery happened in the first place, even if I was told right afterwards that hey, is that really the truth who knows and all.

The gameplay remained solid throughout but honestly once one reaches a point there's nowhere else for it to go. Dodge the attack, do your rotation of abilities, pour it on when they're staggered.

I really appreciate the trials that restrict you to a single Eikon because they allow each Eikon to really shine in case you were wondering how to use them, even if they didn't end up in your normal rotation.

The hardest superboss in the game was the one where the lock-on target moves around making it difficult to land hits. It's Svarog and the fact that his head moves around, if you were curious.

I do like all the supporting cast. They all had their own thing that came together although I wish we didn't get EVERY last denouement to all their individual stories just before the finale of the game. Like all of them at once. Took me almost a whole day to do them.

Still the actual finale was fine.

EDIT: Oh, and well done to this game for being the first numbered FF I finished since XII. At least it got that out of me.

Oh one last complaint.

Remember the Iron Kingdom? Boy I sure don't, and neither did the game.

Wow, we heard about "Leviathan the Lost". Would have been a nice cap on the game for Ultima to pull that out at the last second or something but oh well. Guess there's just no Water Eikon.

Oh, cool. The game is actually addressing the fact that killing Bearers makes no sense. I thought it would just be evil racism for evil racism's sake. Now I'm wondering if Anabella is playing the emperor too and is actually working for Ultima. And she has a new son, I don't know why I'm so surprised by that one.

Finally beat the game. Great game with some flaws but none that affected me too much.

I wish the game somehow acknowledged your party members when you did a side quest. I heard Jill say one line in one I did recently, but the quest giver still acted as if Clive was alone.

Yeah, that is really weird. Jill also doesn't have the in-combat dialogue nearly as much as Cid, so it's really like she's not even there.

Hey I got another one lol, but it's super picky.

Vivian Ninetales seems to be the most out-of-place character in the game.

Like she doesn't actually realize she's in a cobbled-together base surrounded by a bunch of downtrodden but determined misfits.

It's apparent in her design, her voice inflections, and her dialogue.

Harpocrates is far more down-to-earth.

Uhh I think thats the idea of having a gang of misfits that differ in personality and background. I liked Vivians war room segments and when she tells me to look at her game of thrones map.

It's honestly hard for me to explain. Like it's the little things in how her outfit is more stylized and immaculate than everyone else's. I feel like her face doesn't match the rest of her design, like she just has a normal animated face like the other NPCs but it's at odds with the grandeur of her costume and hairstyle.

And the story-based war room updates are nice, I will grant you.

I just did the spliced sea section and loved the cutscene after. Now I have 8 side quests to do so it will take me a while.

I think it because shes from the Crystal Dominion and I dont think we get to see many other npcs from that area

I do appreciate that the Woolie VS LP has got the point where the sidequests are all anti-bearer shit.

What color cloth did you guys pick and what did it symbolize at the end when Jill gives it to you. I did white and red and they symbolized Faith. and Passion. but what does black stand for?

I'm now hardcore analysis paralysis because I got the Titan powers and don't know what ones I want to keep.

Still making my way through. Just got Odin and I think I have my final set of eikons and abilities!

I really love how they are playing with the OG FF theme song in so many different ways now. I'm definitely heading towards the finale. PS5 says I have about 83% complete, so I'm still trudging through, but I have one more mothercrystal to go. Still greatly enjoying it!

Just did the last Torgal side quest

Yeah the last batch of sidequests are "the good ones", which is a freakin' bummer because in more than one case they're at the end of a chain of sidequests.

I only have the final mission left after that bunch of like 20 side quests. This game is slowly destroying my will to live. They seriously need to shut the fuck up sometimes. I will be so happy to be done forever.

Yeah I'm doing the final mega suite of sidequests , got three more then I think a few more hunts and I can finish the game

I beat it. I fucking loved it. All the way through.

I beat it. I don't get the acclaim. Truly was an interactive movie.

There are good things about it, but I expected so much more.
