I like both but, Akechi has been warped into a Nagito Komaede esque figure by the Fandom and I can't handle it.

Crow in Trails is a mediocre at best character in Cold Steel. One of the worst parts of the entire series is how sickeningly much he's fawned over during various events long after he's gone. These events often aren't even accurate, either. Trails of Cold Steel II especially needs like, 90% less dialogue about Crow.

Crow in Persona 5 fails as both a villain in the storyline and as a sympathetic figure when they try to justify his actions. His actions are, at best, needlessly convoluted to an extreme degree. There is no need for 95% of what Crow does as far as achieving his goals go, and he thinks he's way smarter than he is.

...I'm just not going to vote.

Akechi is just... not great. Royal improves him somewhat and his brief stint as navigator is incredible but this is an easy win for Trails Crow.

I liked Akechi decently well but this is still an easy win for Trails Crow. (Cold Steel 1-4 spoilers) Even if he is one of several victims of character assassination by the Gnomes and their really dumb role in the story
