They didn't CGI in some blood like most movies do now. The excess amount of blood isn't supposed to be a gore effect at that point, its an aesthetic. Some of the best looking scenes in the Evil Dead franchise, especially the latest one, is when everything is caked in blood. At this point its like saying: In this scene i want to paint everything in red paint. Like everything is covered in red paint. I mean the actors, the monsters, the ground, the car and even make red paint rain from the skies. Because thats what it looks like and it looks really dumb. Is the Evil Dead remake from a few years ago supposed to be set in the same world as the brand new Evil Dead movie? Or is the new Evil Dead movie supposed to be a totally new start point once again?
