I smoke like once a week, sometimes less

I like rolling but sometimes i want a lower dose, and also would be nice to stay inside when it gets cold out again

i got into vapes a number of years ago, and still vape on the regular, but ultimately i prefer smoking. vaping feels more like a 'daytime' high, but it doesn't quite feel 'all the way there', which is why i prefer burning.

vaping definitely makes your product last longer. i use about 1/3 of the amount in a vape bowl vs a smoking bowl. you can also save the vaped product and use it for edibles / milk.

which brand are you eyeing? the Mighty is the best portable dry vape i've tried.

Seems like the opposite has happened.

They're great. Compared to smoking there's a lot less hassle, significantly less odor and it saves your flower so you can theoretically make edibles with what you've vaped. Compared to carts it's infinitely better as you're only inhaling the vapor from the flower and nothing else.

Dry herb vaping is my favorite of all the pot consumption methods. Once I got used to it, going back to a bowl or joint just tasted like ash in comparison.

The novelty and tourism of fresh legalization. It'll level off after a while, once the market has time and allowances to open up more.

Was never a fan of those, it was like smoking a cigarette after not smoking one for a couple hours.

Hows the smell?

My understanding is that it does smell, but doesnt really linger

My vape spot will be in a bathroom at one end of the house, tiled and with a window open
The room connecting has an air purifier running at all times

Im hoping vaping out the window in a tiled room with the door closed will keep it pretty contained
Its ok if it gets out a little but i dont want to stink up half the house or lingering for hours

Dry herb vaping is different from THC/nicotine cartridge vaping. You're not inhaling anything sketchy; just the vapor from your flower after it's heated up.

If you're vaping near a window you have nothing to worry about. The smell mostly comes from the device itself once your flower's heated up, but you'd have to be rather close to it. The vapor itself slightly smells but even in a room with no ventilation or open windows it disappears after a few minutes.

It's really good. Helped me smell better. Work with less brain fog. Consume less.

But it's hard on your heart and throat if you use it too much. Ice bong and water pipe attachment is ideal but may be too much for many

You have to stay on top of cleaning the vape because it gets really sticky. Very clean high though.

I need to find some youtubes on how to maintain it. Im guessing clean some parts with iso after use?

Not necessarily. Some places just do it completely wrong like Canada for instance. They tax the hell out of everything so Cannabis on the legal market has remained very high in price even though in places like Colorado you can get the same stuff for 1/3 the price it is in Canada. They also have strict packaging regulations so most places don't even let you look at what you are buying 'til you leave the store. Canadas legal market is fucking terrible.

Cannabis is the preferred nomenclature these days but yes.
Though I bet you could get away with vaping other plants for taste . . . I wouldn't lol.

I mix in chamomile when i roll right now fwiw
Dilutes the potency a little, tastes good, and theoretically relaxes you

Its been interesting reading about how to make tinctures and edibles with the vape leftovers

I don't partake anymore but I still have a DaVinci IQ that works. They still make them too. There's a chamber where you put other herbs in to add flavor. Never fucked with that but I've read good things about it.

A brief google says youre getting 50-80% of the thc when you vape

So 25mg * 22%thc * [50-80%]efficiency = ~2.75 to ~4.40 mg thc in a session if i fill up the bowl

My benchmark is 5mg gummies, where a whole 5mg is about the dose i use for a good time (half that if i just want to fall asleep a little faster without getting too goofy)

So in theory i should plan on packing and finishing one whole bowl

But idk if it is going to hit harder in an unpleasant way

Yes definitely. Dry herb vapes are awesome, just get one with good battery that's easy to clean. I'm in the market to replace my Hrb at some point.

I've been thinking about getting one myself. I think I was looking at the Planet of the Vapes One. I've heard it cuts back on quantity used.

Fwiw i am very very happy with my purchase so far

I took a conservative dose last night and didnt feel it *that* much but i am suuper optimistic

From one use:
Pros:
- stealth. Im a grown up in a legal state but smoke is stinky, this doesnt have zero smell but it is waaaay less and doesnt linger and smells better, and i can stay inside
- flavor. Not something i thought i cared about, but it actually tasted great
- set up: easy to pack, takes <60s to warm up
- harshness: went down smooth as butter, no coughing
- efficiency: supposedly more efficient, and supposedly you can re-use the vaped bud for edibles/tinctures/eating. Not a huge priority for me since im a light user but still nice

Cons:
- more cleaning than rolling something, but honestly didnt seem too bad
- there is something psychologically nice to smoking that i enjoy

Also side note i appreciate that it came with a glass tube/rubber stopper for airtight stem storage

I have a Mighty paired with a bong. I don't mess with combustion anymore.

What's also nice is I have dosing capsules. It keeps the device a little cleaner, allows perfectly dosed amounts each time, and it's easier to refill the device.

They're only for Storz and Bickel devices like the Mighty. They're little metal capsules you put your herb in that hold about 0.5-0.7g each. It makes reloading it much quicker.
