A lot of Green Day's music is grossly misinterpreted.

Example: Countless kids using "Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)" as their "Graduation Song".

Thats not a misinterpretation. Its a song written in jest about their drummer getting hurt and it being falsely attributed to his gf. But the song itself is still about abuse.
