I was doing g a direct care shift in a hab home, everyone else was on a home visit except one resident. Naturally, our most problematic. I don't lightly label people lost causes and have only done so twice in 3 years, but this dude has just given up and does not gaf.

I (stupidly) left my drink unattended for about 5 minutes and didn't think anything of it until it was mostly gone. Nah, figure worst case scenario he spit in it or took a swig.
Then the nauseau started. Immediately heated up and started sweating buckets (if you've ever taken niacin, very similar feeling) off and on. Then confusion, dizziness, and now I feel like I weigh all of 50 pounds and am steady but shake if that makes sense.

I think this dude may have put something in my drink, never felt like this before so I went home for the day lesson learned

And you're not posting this from an emergency room why?

Yeah, if you think you've been drugged, definitely get to an emergency room.

Besides the obvious health reasons, you want documentation on how drugs may have ended up in your system if there's ever a drug screening.

By the time I realized that may be a possibility and got coverage an hour had passed. Figured if I was going to have a serious reaction/intensified symptoms it would've happened by then. Additionally they would have ran a UA, and even though I have a script for something that they would've found anyway, it would have cost me my job.

Not really clear what sort of thing at his disposal would've made you feel like that unless it was a household item.

Drugs dude lol! The more I think about it the more it makes sense. At first I was like wtf why he and I have been cool and don't have an issue because I take the time to have those tough conversations and show I give a shit about him.hes told me he appreciates it and was super bummed I'm leaving for another job. So let's take stock:

- we've suspected he's been using again for a couple weeks now
- he and I get along great
- he always offers me stuff (food, drink, trinkets) and I always decline
- he knew we would have the place to ourselves
- he knew I only had a few more shifts to spend with him
- he kept asking if I was OK even before I started feeling off

So what are the odds he spoked my shit thinking we would have a party or something tonight? Dude has the mentality of a teenager. Now that 2 hours have passed I know this feeling. Feels like mushrooms: Initial fever/sweating/nauseau, and now I am AMPED and do not want to sit Stull and am pretty shaky. I'm leaning toward some kind of mild psychedelic.

But yeah otherwise all meds are kept locked up and we don't have anyone in that house who is med independent and son of a bitch the carnival just left town which he was there every day so yeah this dude probably drugged me with some carny drug
