Everybody in the politics board decided a long time ago that beating willy in debates is too easy and not a good use of their time. Especially in cases like this where his own link disproves everything hes attempting to say.

No, and neither do Democrats. The difference is that the latter have figured that acting like they care works well for getting votes from their base, and the positive side effect of this is that there's a limit to how much uncaring stuff you can get away with when you're pretending to care so they have to at least do *some* good.

Don't fool yourself into thinking any significant number of politicians would care if it weren't part of their strategy to stay in power; doubly so for ones that have been in politics for a long time. Yes, I'm sure you can find that one good one who actually does care if you look hard enough, but they're nowhere near the majority of politicians, left or right or otherwise.
