Would we really die?
At worst either
-tsumanis would form immediately (?)
-debris from the collision head towards earth

But they won't guarantee the end of all life as we know it.

Apparently the moon gets hit by stuff all the time, most of them never make it back to earth because the debris burns up in the Earth's atmosphere

The moon gets hit with small stuff all the time. But the ridiculous scale of the impacts in those clips would probably sterilize the planet. For an asteroid to be naked-eye visible in daylight at more than a light-second it would have to be tens of kilometers across and the velocity of collision is visibly in the 1000 kps range. There'd be enough debris falling on us to end everything except possibly bacterial life.

Lets put it this way, if the impact is accurate to the video until the time it actually hits the moon:
First, that comet is moving at like 5% of light speed. Second, its the size of greenland or something. The level of energy it has is the sort where...

Suffice to say that the thermal radiation released would probably instantly kill everyone on half the planet, and the other half would die slightly later.
