One of my theories on why he even wanted Twitter at all was actually to kill it since it was a platform non-right wingers used heavily to stay informed and politically engaged.

Okay, my theory is that he's a big simp for Trump so he bought Twitter to make him back, but Trump still refuses to returns. Iirc he even hates Musk.

So now he's tanking Twitter so Truth will be more prevalent, and to prevent Twitter to be used against Trump.

Well, Trump hasn't returned to Twitter yet partly because his contract is only just now ending with Truth exclusivity. Before that he wouldn't be able to post anything to any platform without it going on Truth Social first like 3-6 hours before. But if he doesn't back out of the deal, it should be over any day now.

Just his brain.

Musk bought twitter because he had to.

He shot his mouth off, and then followed through a bit too much as a result of his addiction to seeking approval and 'dank memes' from alt-right 4chan types.

By the time he realized it was a fucking stupid idea to buy twitter for $44bn, he found himself facing legal action over his failure to do so.

What a fucking genius.

Would be nice but he can cover the cost of Twitter with a few forgotten SpaceX shares that fell into the couch cushions a few years back.

I am not believing in any conspiracy theories. Musk clearly doesnt know what hes doing. Wasting 44 billion dollars is a Musk thing to do.

For that he tried to backpaddel a bit too desperate last year.

You could see how he was talking bigger than he wanted, tried to fight his own purchase in court, and only gave in because probably every single lawyer of his legal army told him "bro, we can't win this".

Given the egomaniac we're dealing with he tried to puff himself up to his muskrat fanboys by pretending to buy the damn thing then went to far in the steps to legally buy it and since Jack Dorsey and the rest of his fellows saw dollar signs and a way to get out of having to be pulled into congress to be bitched at by Republicans they ran with it. Elon still an egomaniac embraces his fuck up to save his ego and suddenly thinks he knows shit about running a social media platform and now we get this dumpster fire, if he were trying to kill it he'd just flat out kill it rather than all these crazy schemes and pandering to 4chan /pol/ and right wing stormfronters,britbarters.

meanwhile Dorsey's nu twitter Blue Sky has such an influx of new users they put a temporary freeze on new membership because they can't hold them all, Twitter most likely won't survive the year where as Blue Sky will probably start launching it's marketing campaign around the time election season starts, it remains to be seen if as soon as Republicans realize Twitter is done for and Blue Sky will be the next big thing for them to retaliate against Dorsey for not letting their deplorable base do and say the things they get away with on Twitter, 4chan and Truth Social and accuse him of being a leftist agent trying to silence Conservative views and ideals
