The guy who broke into a college house and stabbed 4 people to death while they were sleeping. The trial hasn't even started, and the house may be gone soon. It's a crime scene and sometimes in trials, the jury asks to go visit the site. This seems incredibly short sighted

The college just wants to be rid of an unseemly house. But it may be needed in the trial. If this guy goes free because of this.....

"A university lawyer noted in a letter to Gray that the court released the house from the case and the prosecution and defense have not objected to the demolition."

If either side thought they needed the house standing for the trial for evidence, they'd just have to let the court know.

Apparently the victim's families don't agree with the decision though. I'm not sure why the prosecution is doing this

Because they don't feel like they need the house itself to present their case, the scene has already been cleaned and released back to the owners, and they don't otherwise have standing to object to it.
