Like one or two things that I thought could've gone better, but that was more due to pacing than Bella's performance. She's a great actress --- I don't believe in belts. She very often leans into the child like aspects but dips a toe into adulthood when things get heavy and shows flashes of maturity. It's dramatically more authentic feeling. Video game Ellie has some of that, but much more often leans into being an action hero. It works better for the medium, but I don't think it works as nicely into the actual story. So yeah, they're definitely different. I prefer 14 year olds to act like, at best a fairly mature 14 year old.
