Looks like he's already got Extremis working.

The original and main Super Skrull in the comics apparently has the Fantastic 4's powers. Groot can emulate the stretching and shape shifting of Mister Fantastic. Extremis gets you the fire to match Johnny Storm. Cull Obsidian should provide massive strength, and along with the strength boost from the other DNA and the hardness from Groot, it should be comparable to The Thing. I could see Frost Beast's DNA being usable to make ice barriers, and just Skrull camouflage being enhanced by the whole thing to be invisible. So this take on Super Skrull should effectively be able to do everything the comic character can.

Yeah, I wonder if Skrull shapeshifting works enough that you can move your vital organs around. She knew it was coming, so she like...moved her heart over to the right or something.

It is a good twist if she is just dead, but I don't think there was enough gravitas for that.

Yes, that is true, but we've consistently seen them bleed red in this show. My best justification is that this is partly why Gravik wants them to stay in their human shells even in the compound: the longer they stay shifted, the more convincing they are.

And I forgot Gi'ah was in the room when they did that Super Skrull thing last episode, but maybe she got blasted with the gene therapy or something. Gravik wouldn't know about it, the Extremis would heal her, and her being a Super Skrull means she can do the superheroic fighting in the finale without bringing in the Avengers.

I did forget one quibble I had about this episode. Why did the Bob Skrull give a shit about the son?

I don't think shapeshifting would have helped her at that point. Either she turns into someone Gravik doesn't know in which case he knows it's her or she turns into someone he does know in which case they're not supposed to be outside the compound and he knows it's her.

One thing I missed was that Fury probably knows that Rhodey is a Skrull. He made a point of saying that no one calls him Nick in this episode, Rhodey did so last episode. And then in this episode, he says he has a lead on a high-ranking member of the US military being a Skrull.

Great episode, the whole nuclear sub/plane situation felt like it came straight out of Mission Impossible, good stuff

Why are people saying Rhodey is a Skrull after this episode? He wasn't in this one at all, unless I missed it

The voice Priscilla was talking to at the end was 100% Don Cheadle.

I went and checked that scene out with Rhodey and yeah, he keeps calling him Fury, but slips up at one point and says Nick. Good catch.

Fury first brings this up in Captain Marvel when he tells Carol his full name.

However, since then, both Maria Hill and Natasha have clearly called him Nick, lol.

Rhodey isn't a super hot super spy, he doesn't get the pass lol

Great episode. I'm really liking this show so far. As usual, I hope it doesn't fall apart by the ending.

Also, did anyone notice the voice on the phone call with Varra was obviously Rhodes? He's definitely a Skrull.

Fury holding the son hostage and going 100% Juiles was great. Talos double loyalty keeps fucking them up

Sam Jackson is one of the executive producers for the show, so he definitely had some input on the dialogue.

I'm thinking this as well. Even if he is a Skrull, he's likely on the good side imo. Like Fury's wife mentioned Fury has been absent for years. It's not that far-fetched to think Rhodey was put in charge of the Skrull stuff. The government trusted him with that info way long ago. They'd need someone to step in and help keep the Skrulls in check.

It sounded like Priscilla was working with Rhodey, and requesting to speak with Gravik as a favor. Likely due to Fury asking about Gravik himself. If she was in league with Gravik herself, surely she'd have a direct line considering her proximity to Fury and the human government side of things. Instead she attempts to go through Rhodey instead, who is probably still upset at Fury's incident from Episode one and the revelation that Gravik actually is leading an invasion.

Also, I think it's pretty clear that Talos's daughter made herself a Super Skrull. Maybe Extremis to heal her wounds.
