I know that sometimes it's worth spending extra for something high quality, but I'm also not too sure how often I'd be using it. I 'need' one now. I've been looking at

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SSXQ7Q2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

but I'm wondering if it's maybe too cheap, if you get me. I'm not really experienced enough to know if I'd be wasting money or not.

I like Epson stuff, I use their printers and i'd think this would be fine for the price. Canon makes similar priced options that are good also. I work with this stuff at home sometimes, so i'm fairly familiar.

I appreciate the input, I honestly wasn't sure if there was anyone with knowledge here.

I should have mentioned it, but my plan was to digitize some manga that doesn't seem to exist in any digital form, even in the deepest recesses I could find. So most of it is B/W, but the covers and back covers are color.

Friends,

can you put a dollar amount to "aren't super expensive" ????

Please and thank you.

you might not realize, but what is expensive to one person, maybe not be expensive to the next.

I find there is a issue with the ink heads. If you print only seldom, they dry up, and then are messed up. I think my HP has the ink heads right in the ink cartages, which adds like 10 bucks to the cost, but then they are FRESH when I replace them.

Those all in one machines, seem to get the job done. I think I have a HP. Of course the HP guy was in best buy, and told me all the GREAT facts about it. jajajajaja.

Good luck.

I think it would do fine for that, you can use a real basic, free editing program like GIMP to improve the contract and saturation also. I do a lot of printing, laminating, menu making, and all kinds of local projects like stuff for the elementary school football team. In my opinion, when it comes to scanning, there isn't a real drastic difference in quality, and for what you need it for, I think this one will be fine.

They make a very thin, inexpensive non-glossy photo paper, you can get like 50 sheets for ten bucks on Amazon, and it's perfect for printing stuff like this, if you ever decide you want some copies.

fair play, I was thinking under $200, decently lower if feasible.

Thanks again. I didn't think it would be something that I'd need to be super picky with, I'm just the type that gets a bit uncertain unless something is in my hands.
