I still want to finish beating the 3rd one before I buy it, only like 3/4 of the way there. It's a really good series but damn do they like having 5 minute conversations after every little thing.

Right. I watched some stuff on youtube hyping it a bit. I think, I still need a bit of time away from the series and I never finished Azure, but cool that's finally here.

I wanted to replay the whole series before starting Reverie but I might just do Reverie then start replaying the whole series. That way I can platinum CS4 and Reverie with the unlimited bonding points stuff in NG+ runs.

i definitely recommend beating the crossbell/erebonia games first but reverie looks so badass. as usual, if my amazon order doesn't show up by the time i get off work i will buy a digital copy and just save the physical for collectible purposes. even if it does show up may do that

I played Cold Steel I-IV on my PS4 and the Crosbell arc on my PC so eh if I ever get Reverie on my PS4 at least I'll get some swag.

i did that recently myself. i was replaying cs1 and 2 when azure came out so i played it then played through cs3 and 4 and beat 4 again about a week ago so i am in peak trails mindset anyway

I have Zero and Azure on PC before Geofront pulled them so I kinda don't want to replay those. The PS4 versions of them are ass but for consistency sake with CS I bought them on PS4. I also really love Sky but starting FC again with how slow it is for the first 2 chapters kinda has me feeling a way.

The geofront translations were used as a base for the official ones which are PC, ps, and switch.

Should also mention that Reverie is a conclusion to both Crossbell and Cold Steel so those games should be played before this

haven't you played reverie already @Will_VIIII ? is it as amazing as it looks?

I also played through Reverie with a fan translation last year and it's definitely an improvement over Cold Steel

as someone who loves all the cs games that is good to hear

Finally got the email. Stupid steam freezing when I try to load it.

nearly installed on my ps5, can't wait to play later tonight :)

I've played all of the Trails games multiple times already besides CS4 which I've only played and beaten once. I just don't want to play the PS4 releases of Zero and Azure because they're shit compared to the PC version Geofront released a few years ago. I got them on PS4 for consistency sake with Cold Steel and carryover bonuses but I actually don't want to play them on PS4. They don't have any of the QoL additions and they look like garbage with the old shitty backgrounds and sprites.

the crossbell games are arguably the best in the series imo

anyway i started reverie at work on ps4 and just finished the first boss fight. will play at home on switch where i can carryover from the crossbell games but i will just skip the early cutscenes i have progressed past

I like the Trails series but I've already got too much on the go right now game wise. So I'm not getting Reverie right away.

I'm definitely going to play it in the coming months though.

I already played the Japanese version a year and some months ago. I'm cool with waiting on this for a bit. 120+ hours is a BIT much.

yeah basically all the cold steel games were 100+ and 3 and 4 could get closer to 150 if you do everything. i expect reverie to be 100+ for sure

50 hours is being generous. I imagine you can finish the story in that time but it's not the story that makes the game so long, it's NPC dialogue (most of it wasn't translated when I played), and the Reverie Corridor. The latter especially; a large portion of your playtime is going to be spent there. That's where all the goodies are.
