Theres 2 upcoming conferences in my field of emergency operations (natural disasters, not medical)

They are in big party cities

I can go but I have to put in the request and work will pay for everything.but its expensive Af.

Ill be stuck doing work stuff almost the entire time, networking, dinners etc

I probably wouldnt even get away to go to a nightclub to pick up girls

But even if I did, I wouldnt want coworkers to see and judge me as Im stuck with this agency for the rest of my life

And then work will probably ask me to do a presentation on what I learned when I get back

Should I skip it or go?

Nah.

I was at a work thing last week and away for the whole week. The most tiring part for me was being my outgoing "work self" after hours while socialising with the others there

If that's something that doesn't bother you then go for it

That does bother me, but mostly because I dont care about work lol
