A lot of examples have a texture or flavor I don't care for, and a few I did end up liking were taken off the shelves for one reason or another within a couple months of discovering them (which happens with too many things I like). I do like making curry or kung pao with tofu, and my fruit and veggie consumption is well higher than the vast majority of Americans. There are vegetarian meals that are good because they are good on their own: just eat those. And probably better for you than whatever they're doing to plants to make them meat-like. They even look for hair products that are "cruelty free," with limited care for the pH or the scent of said products. You should only really assume that they're specifically talking about food if they specify food (e.g. "I tend to eat vegan food," "I eat a plant-based diet," "I avoid eating animal products"). --- This is my signature.
