have you ever seen this, think it's true for many people? why would many of them, though?

They want to say "Ha, now you know what WE went through!" But can't if you have a good kid. So they want to maximize their chances with more kids hoping one is stubborn and muleheaded so they can laugh at you.

Yes, I would absolutely love to have kids.

I doubt that's quite as true these days.

With the direction this world is heading in, I doubt people are quite as eager to have grandkids.

idk a lot of people say this. But isn't the world much better than like the dark ages? the time of ww2? it's all relative

yeah back in the day when popping out more kids was all anyone had to live for.

my parents are surprised they even have grandkids

No, I don't think it will ever happen.

Yeah, I'm mostly interested in having my own biological children. I've helped raised a special needs cousin already, he turned 23 last week and has been at least partially in my care since I was 16. Currently helping do the same with a 9 year old cousin as well. There is a possibility of another relative giving up their kid as well, and I've been strongly considering adopting that kid if it's a possibility. So, I'm not against adoption or step kids... Just, I'd like one of my own too.

No, they don't. My brother has a step son though. Our relationship with that part of the family is strained, so it's hard to feel any type of family attachment to him.
