There was panic back then of the internet taking jobs, or worse things. Then it became a tool. It did kill TV and radio though, with the ability to receive any media instantly.

AI is hardly AI right now, and is more of a script for a lot of things, and a giant google search for other things. We arent near terminator or Mega Man X, but more near CPU opponents in a chess simulator (if A does this, then B will do this).

Kind of weird whats happening to it right now. Chatgpt saw a noticeable drop in response quality recently because its starting to get trained on ai generated content, making its answers less accurate. Its losing its mind basically by talking to itself.

Instead of a general purpose ai like chatgpt I think LLMs are best suited for more specialized purposes. And that will still require a lot of human interaction.
