Our voting system is by no means perfect, but it's better than a lot of less democratic countries. And of all times to say voting doesn't matter, this is definitely not it. Neglect to vote and watch future generations suffer due to selfish apathy and not wanting to be inconvenienced for a couple hours of your time.

Best thing to do is ignore fuckers like Machin and not validate him. Again, Biden being incumbent helps mitigate the extent of spoiler candidates, whether they are unintended spoilers (presumably Machin) or intended spoilers (like Kanye).

I'm of two sides on this. Yes, Biden is limited legally on what he can do. Still, if voting rights are continuously stripped, corrupt Republicans getting power over elections and throwing out votes and getting away with it like in Texas, then we might as well rip the band aid off and just give the whole country to the fascists because they're just slowly taking it over anyway. It's getting to the point where following the rules will just make everyone lose.

Think of all the innocent people who will suffer and die which most likely includes yourself. Should we all be damned because certain folks were too worried about the rules? The game is rigged. Why continue playing that way?

Yeah, Merrick Garland has shown that he isn't the right one for the job of US AG. He avoided investigating Trump's role in January 6th for about a year, and he's pretty much relying on the special counsel to move things forward when we should have had indictments in 2022 at the latest and trials in 2023.

Michigan referred the fake elector stuff in their state to the DoJ, but re-opened their own criminal investigation in January of 2023 after getting tired of waiting on the DoJ.

The majority of voting rights and laws are left up to the states, what exactly do you expect him to be doing with executive orders on the subject, the only authority he has sans Congress, who would be the ones crafting (and in our actual reality rejecting) voter right's legislation.
