The 6th and final question on the interview sheet for prospective Commonwealth employees is: Why do you want to work for <company name> and why do you feel you are the best candidate for this job?

The first part he said something about customer service but for the second part he said "well, i dunno, i'm just perfect!"

I decided to give him the job over the other two candidates, mainly because both of those people wanted to work this in addition to their current job and this person just wants to work here.

When I called him back with the offer I said "well, you said you were perfect, huh? alrighty then, you still want the job?"

The guy(23 year old) seemed like a good person, but you cannot deny somebody proclaiming they are perfect like that could be a red flag. This will either work out fine OR blow up in my face.

Only time will tell.

To me, it sounded like he was just an overconfident 23 year old and i kinda respected that. If he does his job well(with proper management) I'll be content.

rigged ass question tbh. if you were looking for enthusiasm to mold it'd be good though maybe? but good lord the response immediately veers into fakeness no matter who they are

I hate these questions. My answer is I want a job first and foremost and I'm better than everybody.

I'm very passionate about being able to afford food

i think it is a dumb question. one person went "I....also just want more money?" and I said yeah, that's valid.

Dumb questions are meaningless anyway. I failed so many interviews because no one told me they were dishonesty tests when I was a kid. I finally got hired and ended up being one of their best employees.

What makes you the best for the job? Uhh, this is for washing dishes bitch, I hope it's not my life calling
