Dems recently passed a bill that gives $350 billion for climate action, the larger dollar amount spent in the US ok climate action. The money is to pay for increases in green energy such as solar, wind, battery, hydrogen, etc. Essentially giving money to subsidize and increase development and manufacturing of green energy, both existing renewables for consumers, and for future development and technological breakthrough.

So definitely keep voting for Dems. Technological breakthrough is really what we need to be banking on and Dems look to be the only ones interested in funding and mobilizing that.

At the individual level, would probably be good to focus at the local level. Support safe bike lanes, less driving, etc. Support pushes to increase housing density, etc.

Power lines already run along pretty much every road, surely it wouldn't be that difficult to convert them to run everything. Would probably need to harden them against weather and shit, though.

Beyond voting for the party that actually acknowledges climate change being an issue to begin with, there's also deliberately choosing companies that implement green energy over those that don't. Also, individual choices over time, like getting protein from sources other than meat more often, can make a big difference in the context of a larger social trend.
