Another thing, what is typically the hottest time of the summer, in july right , but which part?

116 in southern California, it was painful to be outside.

I have a core memory of running around a school track in my old hometown with my father and it apparently was in the high 90s or even 100 at the time.

this is not by l.a. or san diego was it? iirc those places don't get nearly that hot. Death valley is famous for it though, iirc the hottest place on earth

Edit: That was the official temp the city put out. On my thermometer near Suprise said 121.

Was in Los Angeles county, and yes it was an unusual heatwave. Triple digits weren't uncommon during summer heat waves though this was just an extreme one.

41 degrees (Celsius). That's about 105 in Ye Olde. Humidity was around 40%. Effing brutal.

About 45C in the Australian desert, thankfully a dry heat

114 in the shade, while working in a corn field in central Illinois. Temperature outside the field was 100 or so.

I've been out in close to 110 hear in northern Nevada. I can only imagine how hot Vegas was that day.

It was right around 110 when I went to Vegas last year. Pretty hot.
Florida heat is so much worse though.

It said it was 125F outside in Kuwait

and I went inside a portapotty

So probably around 145F, if not hotter <_<

I've been outside for extended periods in 118F. It was not a fun time. At least it was a dry heat. Humidity in that would have been unbearable.

Had a few days of about 108 recently, and I work for a moving company.

Visiting AZ when I was much younger, don't remember the exact temperature but it was 100-110 the whole trip. Coincidentally, I'm flying into AZ tomorrow, so I will get to experience those current temperatures first hand!

I think around 120 on one of my deployments. Worst though was around 110 in qatar cooking in a C130 waiting to take off. Had to sit there about an hour becaus they loaded baggage wrong.

Regularly hits 100+ F with 70+ humidity here. Summer's a complete wash.

109 in Houston. Anything over 97 or so is no bueno and you instantly start to understand why the term "oppressive" is used in connection with heat.

46c 'real feel', probably only for a 90 minute blitz one day in Toronto years ago.

118F Needles, CA. Just filled up at a station. I truly experienced 114F in Big Bend National Park where I camped out and hiked in that weather.

I visited Death Valley on a day where it was forecasted to hit 123F but I ducked out of there at about 11am.

I live in Vegas. It's not bad if you just avoid going outside while the sun is out. It's 106 right now (8:30PM) but it doesn't feel bad at night.

108 degrees. I was staffing a trip in Israel and we were coming down from Masada in the middle of July.

One of my teens actually had to be evacuated to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem for dehydration. First time I had ever been on an ambulance, but I had to go with him, and then get him back to the hotel we were staying at there.

It was officially 111 at the airport, but I saw readings over 115 in the city when I was a teenager-- on the 1 day I chose to go to a water park.

I'm from Southern Arizona so I get 110 degree weather every year. I think the worst was 118 degrees, and that was at a time when my car had no working A/C and the windows would not roll down.

A quick Google says the inside of my car would be like 40 degrees warmer... all I remember was every day I went through multiple water bottles on my way home from work

In FL its Aug. 95+ everyday, 100% humidity. When I closed up shop at 3pm i had about 5 hours more work on the farm. It was a killer. Sept, too. In the first 2 weeks also bailing and cutting hay, putting it in the barn.

Genuinely blows my mind rich fucks or tech startup young adults move there in droves.

113F/45 C a couple of summers ago in BC when we had a heat dome. It was actually hotter here those two weeks then it was in Phoenix. It was wild, but I had powerful AC and spent the entire two weeks at the river so it wasn't too bad.

like 38/39c? so 100-102F. I know it isn't that hot compared to most places, but I live in Canada and where our weather is typically much much cooler, around 64F its brutal on us. Then again, we usually get -22F weather during the winter so we're more used to cold weather than hot.
