So for the last couple of weeks I've been seeing this calf every couple of days in my backyard. I haven't seen momma moose so I'm not sure what happened there, seems to feel pretty safe in my backyard, enough that I've seen it bedded down a couple of times.

Well it isn't safe at all turns out. I've been seeing bear scat in my front yard and around my garden and yesterday I saw a big pile in the same spot I took this picture of the calf. Then this morning I saw a black bear in my front yard as I was walking out to my truck. So I'm 100% sure it is hunting it down.

Praying for the little guy but I think he will be dinner for that bear soon :(

Lmao, that is great. Yeah, my security system is pretty good at recognizing humans from anything else so unfortunately I miss out on a lot of cool stuff on video.

I guess standing up like that gave it enough of a human silhouette. That's awesome.

Where do you live TC. Moose are pretty rare, I think the only ones I've seen were in Vermont.

Moose are very common for us, I usually see them every day on my drive into work.

And that is scary seeing the driving in...
Deer are scary enough.
And I am not trying to make light of it, but if you hit a deer you hit a deer.
If you hit a Moose, the Moose hits you. There are huge!!
I saw several outside of Manchester VT, and one or two chillin in a little spot on the side of a Mountian on my way to Montpelier once. Those two were at least not near the road.
