ClayGuida 07/25/23 7:40:50 PM #47:	Yea, DeSantis being devoid of charisma, likeability, and presence, he was DOA no matter how hard Fox tried to push him. Remember, they've primed him for this 2024 race for 7 years now. He was featured non stop before he was even governor. Then when he became governor, he was featured even more. Then during covid, he became the heir apparent. Issue was, he's done nothing positive for Florida. He just wages culture wars, and attacks Floridians. While that works in deep red states, where those being targeted have no choice but to take the abuse, DeSantis' and the Republican reach isn't just attacking minorities or liberals, it's attacking everyone. From cost of living, to insurance, to housing, to food, everything has skyrocketed since DeSantis became governor. And not just due to covid. It was happening before Covid became a thing. Perhaps Scott bares some of the blame too, but DeSantis doing absolutely nothing to stop these problems and instead waging war on teachers, minorities, women, and the lgbtq community, isn't fixing these issues. One of the reasons I continually said that DeSantis couldn't wait to 2028 to announce his bid, was because he'll be 2 years out of office, and you'll have nearly 10 years of his policies to gauge his tenure rather than 5. There's basically that and how politics change. Jeb Bush was a Republican favorite in 2010. By 2016 he was a joke. Nobody knows what the political landscape will look like in 2028. One of the reasons I continually said that DeSantis couldn't wait to 2028 to announce his bid, was because he'll be 2 years out of office, and you'll have nearly 10 years of his policies to gauge his tenure rather than 5. There's basically that and how politics change. Jeb Bush was a Republican favorite in 2010. By 2016 he was a joke. Nobody knows what the political landscape will look like in 2028. It feels like politically engaged people just refuse to accept how much Trump's propped up by his alleged credibility as a celebrity businessman because I guess it feels like it's too simple.
