-In Borderlands 2, the Evil Smasher glitch. The Evil Smasher is a normally terrible gun, but reloading has a chance of causing a boost to its stats, signified by a small harmless explosion visual. If you reloaded and got an explosion, but interrupted it by swapping guns, that stat boost would transfer to your other guns. If you kept reload-cancelling until you got enough explosions to lag the game, the boost would be huge, making your guns have have massive magazine sizes and damage boosts to one-shot anything. Combine this with the Infinity pistol that doesn't consume ammo, and you'd never have to worry about reloading and losing the boost. Of course, they fixed this since it could even rip apart raid bosses.

-In Assassins Creed: Valhalla, there was a certain town with a river that was shallow enough to stand in that had a good amount of fish in it. By getting two spears, the dual heavy weapon skill, the auto-loot skill, and removing all your armor for increased move speed, you could make decent money by slaughtering all the fish and selling them. Plus, it was just enjoyable to do and a fitting way for a viking warrior to fish. Unfortunately, they fixed it by making fish flee faster and sooner, which sucks because Valhalla was easily the worst of the new trilogy and spear fishing was one of the only genuinely enjoyable things to do.

-In Sonic Adventure 2, the stage Security Hall has these big safes you can open that might have an emerald you're seeking in them. Normally, you have to go to the top floor and activate a switch to make a floor of safes openable, but by doing a screw kick in front of one, you could open both safes even if they were inactive. This was unfortunately fixed in SA2: Battle.

Star Wars Battlefront (2015), in Cargo, you could camp on top of the Rebels home base on Tatooine by jumping on top of a computer in a nearby room and then jump-packing straight up, enabling you to go "outside" the area (there was no invisible box there, possible oversight by developers, though was later patched so players couldn't do it anymore). You could camp there and protect your side's cargo if you were Rebels, or pick off Rebels trying to protect their cargo or if they're trying to deliver Imperial cargo to their side.

There's many I can't think of at the moment, but one that comes to mind is the parachute glitch in GTAIV The Ballad of Gay Tony. You could basically "pump the brakes" of the chute and you could glide in the air indefinitely.

It's stupid to patch single player exploits. It doesn't affect anyone. Some fans cry "game balance", but just don't use it. Simple.

Speedrunners love exploits so often sucks when they're patched.

Can't they just stay on the 1.0 version and not patch it?

This is literally the first thing I thought of.

I loved that shit lol, it also had alot of funky physics interactions. I'm still salty they patched it.

This. I hate the tedious grind for rupees and dragon parts, and that exploit made the game much more enjoyable for me. Luckily I had duped plenty of diamonds to sell as well as enough of a stockpile of dragon parts that the patch didn't really affect me, but it hurts my desire to playthrough the game a 2nd time.

I also miss being able to push bosses off if edges in Destiny with the DoT grenades. Just because it was always funny to see a raid boss die from falling off the edge.

That's basically the one good thing about how Bethesda handles games post launch. They don't give a fuck about fixing glitches. Every single item dupe glitch you can think of in their games is still there a decade and multiple ports/updated versions later.
