My original account was made back in 1999, I believe, so that pic triggered some nostalgia. Used to have to use the computers at a public library because I didn't have a computer of my own.

It says there that there are currently 1116 users on the site around the same number as you can get today yet people here say that the site is dying. Doesn't look like it to me if the same number of users 20 years ago is the same as today.

it's just an old screenshot, i collected many photos over the years and have kept them backed up on multiple drives/hosting services over the years lol.

I had had computer and internet prior, but due to my parents divorcing, my father took the computer as it was a purchase he made. 56k was SO fast! It only took like 2 minutes to download one picture!

i managed to get on roadrunner high speed cable internet when i moved from one state to another, but we moved back and i was back in 56k land and it was pure torture.
