ziggy is a great character to hate though and his actor did a good job being an absolute weasel

all seasons of the wire are amazing, i honestly can't pick one that is the best kinda like sopranos

Ziggy's responsible for like 4 of the best scenes that season. He's a big part of why season 2 is great.

Season 2 is great and doesn't deserve the criticism it gets.

As for Ziggy, at first I was a bit annoyed by him, but on later watches I feel more sorry for him and he was always weirdly likeable. I find Nick more annoying than Ziggy at this point and I liked him on my first watch. Dude is a dick head.

if someone can elicit emotions like ziggy or joffrey it usually means the actor is really solid tbh

Every time I rewatch The Wire, whichever season I'm on (1-4), I start to think is my favorite.

But when I'm not currently watching The Wire I remember S2 is my favorite.

(nothing against S5, strong ending, just not borderline perfect like s1 through s4)

Hes integral to the story but every single decision he made aside from coming clean to the cops was terrible.

God that pissed me off. At least he felt real bad about it, but fuck man. That's a good like 2 scene summary of his entire character. Total fuck up.

I like how in that scene the other dockworkers were encouraging it and were even buying booze for it if I remember right, but then chided Ziggy when the duck died like it was only his fault.

Very underrated. Personally, I didn�t enjoy it myself the die first time, but after my second rewatch, I appreciated it more. With that being said, 4 > 1 > 3 > 2 > 5.

Season 2 is awful for like the first 2 or 3 episodes until the real characters become the focus again. The ones introduced in those episodes are douche nozzles. Handily the worst season

5 > 1 >>>>>>>>>>>>> 2 and idk about 3 and 4 it's been too long but they both sit in front of 1 but behind 5

Thats the first time Ive seen 5 ranked the highest. I remember it being the weakest season but having an amazing finale.

IIRC Spiros comes back in that season so thats a plus.

It was just easily the most entertaining season for me. The Mcnulty crime scene tampering stuff was funny as hell and it had a lot of big shit happening with the gangs that was also good. No idea why it gets poo pooed so much
