It's a multilayered thing, main character was beaten and thought to be dead but instead is coming back and even more than that we get to finally learn the true nature of his power, when for so long it was thought to be something else. Also it's revealed he is a reincarnation of a mysterious person from 800 years in the past who has been name dropped multiple times.

It was foreshadowed long ago too, this is episode 1070 and first hint of this we saw was back in like 190 something. It's a long time coming for fans of the series.

Thank you, that must be really exciting for all the fans. If I had been a teenager or younger when One Piece started, I'd probably have gotten into the series.

But in order for luffy to become ssj4 he needs to have his nonexistent tail to be pull from his but by some divine beings. He also needs to transform into golden oozaru and be calm down by tears of a saiyan Maiden.
