It's all talk. We're not France. The public here does small scale riots at most, and useless protests otherwise. We've got the modern equivalent of bread and circuses.

Unfortunately, unless you are the lucky one in a billion that manages to become an elite billionaire and use your wealth to manipulate politics and economics... change has to come systemically, not from hoping an individual will save us.

and whats the breaking point, when does that happen? The rich has been dominating America and its citizens (as well as worldwide) since its inception, when has the public ever banded together to overthrow them like they did in the French Revolution as was being discussed earlier in this topic or hell even anything remotely resembling an overthrow of the rich? I love how the left has dreamt of this overthow of the rich for literal centuries, eventually you would think they would realize its not gonna happen and the world will always be run by a handful of those who are very wealthy and have the power to maintain and compound on both simultaneously over generations. It takes skin in the game to cause systemic change of magnitude like that, and understandably no significant concentration of people are crazy enough to put their skin on the line to that extent to cause that degree of change. Talk is cheap however.

This isnt a situation that can end in victory for the sympathetic (working) class. At best it will end with everybody losing when climate change really kicks in.

Even then, it wont be todays rich that suffer for it - but at least their descendants will. Theyll be dying alongside us, complaining about not getting their time.

Im just sitting back and returning to alcohol (wasted 3 months sober) until it happens. Nothing better to do.
