The idea of a God who is all powerful, omniscient, and perfectly good doesn't make any sense.

People only believe God is all-powerful because he himself claims it. But who is to say he's telling the truth?

My headcanon now. On the seventh day god was in heaven depressed, ashamed, and disgusted at what he did in the moment.

God didnt need a break, he just wanted it because even God knows manual labor sucks ass.

even if i was somehow all-powerful, i'd take a rest for all 7 days of the week.

To set an example. The Bible is mostly life lessons and a guide book for Christians.

Because when that was written he wasn't all powerful. The abrahamic God being omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent was a retcon that got added later.

It also explains why he couldn't find Adam and Eve in the garden, or why the first commandment involves worshiping no other gods but him.

Why'd it take him 6 days

It started out as an exciting project but he found himself growing bored with it and kept taking breaks to do something else. In the end, he rushed through the last couple of days just to get the job out of the way, and was never really happy with the results afterwards.

There's plenty of concepts humans are capable of understanding that you likely don't understand, why do you think you would be able to make sense of a being that is omniscient? If God was real he would be omniscient and omnipresent, he would experience every moment in history, every feeling of every human, animal, every place simultaneously.

I think sometimes people fail to understand how far above humans an omniscient being would actually be, to the point where trying to understand anything about it would be impossible.

I think God meant no other Gods, knowing that he wasn't the only God.
God also denounced worshipping graven images, which is the idol worshipping you're referring to.

One theory I do like is that something like a god is a Type 7 civilization. So far advanced and able to transcend all time and space that we can't ever understand it.

That's just apologetics taking an obvious contradiction and claiming something is true that's never stated. Plus then you'll have to explain why the all loving God wanted them to feel bad.

You know, theres this other group that were there first that you keep neglecting. And I have to wonder why.

It's funny how Christians thump their Bible while at the same time ignoring the entire first half of it, saying "That part doesn't matter!" while also using parts of that half in their teachings. Sodom & Gomorrah, the flood, Adam & Eve, etc.

You assume. Which is pointless because you're not omniscient. You don't have the access to the knowledge of why an omniscient being would do what they choose to do, and you never would or possibly could.

TC's joking, but I've seen Christian apologetics actually argue that if God hadn't rested on the 7th day and thus set a positive example for the concept of rest, humans would just work relentlessly until they dropped dead of exhaustion. Therefor, God rested so humankind could know the concept of resting.

Yes, really.
