I heard its aimed at kids so that has me worried.

I liked it. The main actress is possibly the biggest marvel fan in real life, of any actor to ever be in the MCU. Her enthusiasm bleeds into her acting in the show. Basically she is a massive comic book nerd. She's even writing her character's comic now, I found out.

Overall it was probably my favorite MCU show thus far, tied with Hawkeye. Like most it loses steam as it goes, but it's still enjoyable throughout and blessedly doesn't completely faceplant in the finale.

It was my favourite of the tv shows(although takes a dip between episodes 3-5) and theres been at least a few scenes in the Marvels trailer that show locations of Ms Marvel.

that being said theres usually a bit of exposition and I doubt anything from that will be truely necessary.

You'd likely get the gist of things without it. The important things, which will certainly get more explanation in the movie than the show did, are the bangles and Kamala's powers.

The bangles got basically no explanation in the show, but look to be important in the movie. Her having powers is probably less important, but it's why she gets entangled with Monica and Carol I think.

It was an ok show, probably the most "fun" show, but definitely aimed at a younger audience.

It's a great show.

That's an understatement. The first few episodes are great, the last few are awful. The story goes completely off the rails, and was totally unnecessary.

Need? Probably not. Should? Maybe, it was enjoyable enough as its own thing, IMO.

Plus that cool thing at the end where it's revealed that she's a mutant, and the 90's X-Men cartoon jingle plays.

The Pakistan arc really drags

It's super cute and Kamala is so bubbly and adorable. I'd watch it.

how do we know she dont have powers she could just be hiding them

and joining the MCU is her way of helping us humans learn to except mutants

I liked the show, but all you really need to know is the character is a huge Captain Marvel fan and at the end of it she mysteriously swaps places with Captain Marvel.

You can watch it but I wouldnt bother doing homework for a big blockbuster movie, anything you need to know youll probably piece together pretty quick. Its a marvel movie, not rocket science

Heres relevant details if you really want to know

ms marvel put on a bangle, gave her light based stretchy powers. Her scientist friend says ms marvel has a mutant gene, thats why bangle only gave her powers. She decides to put on the bangle again and for some reason Ms Marvel vanishes and captain marvel appears in that same spot.

The villains are the worst part of the show, so don't worry about them too much.

The latter half for me is a perfect example of most Marvel TV shows - a fascinating concept done no sort of justice by the incredibly short runtime forcing it to be rushed and bland.

It's probably one of the best casting decisions ever made in the MCU. They managed to get a talented actress who basically IS the character, down to being a fangirl of the comics.

She really deserves to have a massive role in the MCU going forward.
