Even "UFO" didnt necessarily imply ALiEmS. People just want to reach with their imaginations. Any unidentified flying object. It could just be a private jet that passed by so quickly you didnt get a chance to fully "identify" it. So technically that made it a UFO in that instance. UAPs open up the possibilities of cloud/gas/astrological/cosmic/etc movements as well. Pretty much any moving phenomena in the air. It just makes it even more broad. Over-diagnosed.
