Our normal host, FoolFantastic, is taking a break this time around, leaving me to emcee! Rank the Albums is a basically a capstone on Rank the Tracks, a project that has us covering a wide range of nominated albums over the past half year. And those albums, in the order we covered them, are:

Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to rank those albums and submit the list, via PM, to me. Or you can post in this topic, but that kinda spoils the surprise! If you've got any thoughts/feelings on the albums, please include those as well!

The deadline is end of the day on Sunday, 9/10/23. This might be moved further back as we get closer. I'm pretty flexible plus life sometimes gets busy.

Voting is open to everyone, not just those who participate in Rank the Tracks. You also don't need to rank all 25, but I'd ask that the minimum be 15.

One new wrinkle this time, which I'm calling Songs of the Cycle.

Those 25 albums encompass ~335 songs, and I want to know which were your favorites! No need to rank this list, or to pick songs from every album. I just want to know which songs are the ones that stuck with you! This is a totally optional thing that I thought might be a fun addition. If you're thinking "it's too much", no need to stress it.

As above, please send me a PM (or post in the topic) with your unranked list of up to 25 songs from the list of albums above. Thoughts/feelings are encouraged!

I'm going to try and join this one. I've been keeping up with some of the rankings topics for a while, just usually a week behind, and I don't have enough music knowledge for my opinions to be worthwhile but this is probably a good point for me to jump in.

Another odd cycle where my own nomination only ended up at #8 in my personal ranking. Also nothing I outright disliked this cycle, which is nice.

The actual cycle is longer than 25 weeks (31, if I counted correctly), so your last album was in Rank the Albums 4. We have been doing this every 25 albums since before we established the cycle system.

I've started on my re-listens. Always useful as I try to figure out if the order I put an album after the Track voting still holds.

I've finished my initial listens. I'm certain on my top albums but I haven't got a clue which order my mid-ranks go in. Might just submit my list in the next few days, since I'm a little albumed-out, but it's been fun to get out of my typical comfort zone!

Plenty of time to take a break and come back again. I know I get fatigued after a few albums myself. Its just not the type of thing you can power through.
