I was in Philly for a concert with my friend last year and it was going to be $25 for a 1 mile ride to the concert venue. We walked instead. The only time I would use Uber now is from local bars because they have the free ride option where I live. --- "How can.. the Prime minister.. support a law.. that makes it illegal for people.. who....What I'm trying to say is.. Taxi medallions are worth over $200K, I think. No one individual is capable of buying them and any average person trying to buy into a portion are basically throwing their life savings at the hope of making it back. So Lyft is in a good place to challenge that but all the people who paid for taxi medallions already band together and get the Taxi and Limo Commission to enforce regulations against gig drivers, forcing Lyft to charge significant markup to abide. --- Surely if I stick up for rich people on the Internet I'll eventually get a sweet job offer from them, right? ...
