Wherever you want to live in each city, all necessities paid for

New York City. Easily.

Tokyo would be more interesting and is much closer to home.

New York. Both cities would shift my social disabilities into overdrive, but Tokyo comes with a much farther distance from home and a language barrier.

Tokyo would probably be harder, but Im up for the experience. Lived in nyc already

Tokyo, as Ive always wanted to visit there and have always deliberately avoided NYC.

All needs paid? Tokyo, easily. I get my 4-floor-panel room, a tiny but functional kitchen, and a bathroom with a good show and bath.

Because of the rules of the question, I am now also a citizen of Japan most likely.

I will have to deal with xenophobia a bit, but I can look into help to find some basic jobs to pay for my video gaming hobby, which is not very expensive, so I can get a job part time by old American standards and still make what I need to pay for the games and internet I may technically not need for "neccessities."

Both cities are constantly being destroyed so what does it matter?

All expenses paid? Tokyo, easily. Not being fluent in Japanese would make work a living nightmare, but I can get by with what I know when it comes to basic daily stuff. Plus I love the weather and food there, and the citizens are so thoughtful :D

If I also somehow magically learned Japanese, then Tokyo could be interesting.

But since I don't, NYC is the only choice for me.

I was already in Tokyo for vaccation once.

I was never in the US.

So yeah, Tokyo it is. Distance doesn't matter at this point, since New York isn't that close to Europe either.

My japanese skills are only on "greeting" and "ordering in a restaurant" level, but that is something I could work on again.

Also, I feel like NYC would be FAR worse with racism towards blacks than Tokyo lol

I commute to NYC every day almost. Ill take my chances on Tokyo if all of my expenses are paid and I wont be in any actual danger.
