myusernameislame 08/08/23 11:52:22 PM #40:	See the thing is if for example the Republican definition of moderate is that you agree with them 95%, and the Democrat definition of moderate is that you agree with Republicans 50%, then people chasing the "moderate" identity (including media outlets) would end end up agreeing with Republicans 72.5%. With broader context outside the US however, agreeing 50% with the actual left and 50% with the actual right just makes you pretty much a Democrat. So that means if you want to be a US moderate (which is most people that are so eager to tell everyone how moderate they are) you're going to end up being heavily Republican leaning whether you realize it or not, and if you want to be a global moderate you should basically just land as a Democrat (and thus probably don't need to bother talking about how moderate you are). <cite>myusernameislame posted [p:975341636] in y is it no... They're all puppets who serve the people who fund their campaigns and keep them in power. That was the allure of Trump in that he owned himself, it's just a shame he is a divisive piece of shit who only wanted to build his ego and deregulate to make his own businesses more profitable. I'll vote Democrat sheerly because they have to do some minimal amount of work to promote ideals that align more with who I am. Plus local and state level government are a little less corrupt and in that I believe my vote matters a little more.
