didn't get stung, wasp appeared fine...

For a few moments, your nose became a wasp nest.

I'm not responsible for any therapy anyone needs now because of the trauma creates by my sentence above.

It probably managed to lay its eggs in there.

I once had a bee sting me on the eye. Literally the worst.

I'd be freaking out and probably startle the Wasp enough to sting me. Were you like perfectly still throughout the short ideal when it collided with you?

Are there some wasps that don't sting? There are a couple of big black wasps that fly around on the footpath when I'm walking there and I swat them away instinctively when they get too close. I keep expecting to get stung but they seem to just fly away which I found odd considering what I always hear about wasps.

yea black wasps are "dirt dobbers" and they don't sting.

this was a red wasp, i shot it out with air pressure and it just kept flying around. luckily it didn't activate it's murder-mode.

i dont kill bugs and this was my karma (not getting stung)

a "do" have a big nose, but wasps can fit in holes smaller than a pencil. can you stick a pen/pencil in your nose? then a wasp could fly inside of it.

Lid thankfully. That still hurt like no one else's business.

I wonder if the Wasp didn't attack because it never realized you are a living creature. It might have just thought it went into a tunnel

Solitary wasps tend not to be anywhere near as ornery as the colony types. And it's possible those wasps you encountered could've been male, which lack the stinger.

Yeah, you basically have to grab a solitary wasp and force it to sting you if you want to get stung.

A wasp colony will fuck you up for breathing too close because they've got kids to protect.

let's hope so. it did seem ever-so-slightly smaller than many wasps. still much bigger than a bee.

In my experience, the thing wasps hate more than anything in the world, is the sound of metal vibrating. Every time I have ever been stung (3 times in 38 years) or seen someone else get stung, a piece of metal attached to a wasp nest was hit and rang out. Other times it was a lawnmower, those freak out anything though.
