I don't think that's really a thing anymore.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was the first game I played on the PS5 where I felt like I was playing a next gen game, way more so than the other exclusives I played.

Forbidden west on PS5 was up there. I felt the jump in graphics and power in the dlc more though.

When I first played Horizon: Zero Dawn on the PS4 I truly felt like we were in the next generation, and this was like 5 years ago.

I don't play super new games, the newest being Elden Ring, but that also really feels like the next step.

FF7r on ps5, and FF16 kind of did, however that may have been more to do with 16 being so different from other ff games.

I think Armored Core and definitely Starfield (assuming it lives up to the hype) will be the first really next gen feeling games to be released >.>

No.

The gains are more marginal with each generation.

"Next-gen" feels like a pretty meaningless term nowadays

Considering Control was a last gen title that required a mega powerful PC to fully operate at its maximized potential with all the bells and whistles plus ridiculous physics involved, the leap towards this gen seems smaller than we actually realize.

Maybe Ratchet & Clank for its high detailed Pixar-level design rendering and playability idk.

No, they don't blow me away as much graphically anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I love games now as much as I always have. But the recent graphical improvements - framerate, load times, textures, and realism - are less impressive than when things like 3D and CDs were new.

I actually am playing Rift Apart right. It's one of the most incredible current gen experiences...but compared of going from SNES to N64, it's not as mind-blowing.
