The Fusions have enough time to say "this seems like sloppy writing" before getting erased.

So what's stopping Super Goku and Vegeta from fusing and stomping?

Considering Potara fusion is Person1 Person2, I actually don't think DBS Goku and Vegeta can win because that would mean Vegito is potentially billions of times stronger than Buu Saga Goku as well as the potential of Vegito using SSJ3 with a x400 multiplier.

There was a topic some time ago about Saiyan Saga Vegito vs Perfect Cell and it was determined that his base form power level would be 144M, enough to easily beat OG Frieza at full power. If he was able to go SSJ, he'd have a power level of 7.2B. The highest I saw for SSJ2 Gohan's Cell Saga power level on the internet was 6B. That would mean a Saiyan Saga Vegito at Super Saiyan would skyrocket into Buu Saga. He'd be invincible to everyone, basically. Just like Buu saga Vegito was. These rules would also apply to Gogeta, just a shorter frame of time.

Needless to say, one fusion brings an absolutely absurd power boost to the point of skipping many sagas. Kid Trunks and Goten had the power to easily defeat Super Buu many times over with SSJ3 Gotenks despite getting knocked around repeatedly, so there is precedent.

I think Buu Saga fusions would be able to beat DBS Goku and Vegeta handily. Throwing Broly and Frieza in there is too much.
