It's more of a general annoyance with people who think they somehow have the "correct" opinion on subjective things. I'm sorry that Chipotle hurts your tummy. But if you want to compare it to atheists in the middle east, no one is gonna behead you for your opinion on a fast food restaurant. But, it's more like the difference between:

"I don't believe in God" vs "I don't believe in God, and you're stupid if you do", which do you think is gonna make people more defensive?

FYI I OD'd and that permanently damaged my stomach lining, making it more sensitive. I have no idea what makes you think I'm proud or happy about this.

With that said I still have eaten Chipotle, spicy and mild, and have eaten real Mexican food, and -in my opinion- authentic Mexican food is better. Chipotle is good for a healthy/cheap alternative but it lacks taste imo.

I've had Chipotle twice in my life, because I was with people who were into paying stupid prices for just-OK food. It really is just-OK, but for a fraction of the cost you can make your own of whatever you were ordering there and add some actual, you know, flavor.

9/10 of the fast food places that get mentioned on PotD I've never been to, usually because they aren't located in New England (or if they are there's like ONE of them). I don't know how this is any different.

Its different because in this case, they are talking about a place many people havent heard about because its not in a lot of places. Where with you, its because you dont leave your house. Those places others mention probably are in most places (or more states, as the very least) Somebody not hearing about Freebirds makes more sense than someone not hearing about something like Chick-fil-a
